Characteristics : The husk of the corn is green. Inside, there are long silks that line the corn. The kernels are regularly spaced and yellow. The kernel is supple with water and is sweet and crunchy.
In Thailand, there are many varieties of sweet corn with different qualities and medicinal properties. They are used in many Thai dishes.

Health Benefit : The corn is a high fiber and stimulates bowl movement.
It has no cholesterol and a low glycemic index.

It allows you to feel full for longer because it does not spike the blood sugar.
It can also help maintain blood pressure level due to its high potassium content.

Apart from playing its part in delicious recipes, corn has a lot of nutritional properties.
It is mainly made up of Carbohydrates, beta carotene, vitamin C, calcium, fibers, and phosphorus,
which when compounded with calcium work closely together to build strong bones and teeth.
